LEARNING OUTCOMES:
The students will be able to:
a) understand the life and mission of Br. Edmund Rice.
b) develop values like kindness, compassion, and respect.
c) apply these values by helping others in their daily lives.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
On the occasion of the Feast Day, various activities were organised in the school to celebrate the life and
teachings of Br. Edmund Rice on 05.05.2026. A special assembly was conducted by the students of Class
5D. The programme included prayer, a short play, and a meaningful poem on being “The Voice for the
Voiceless.” A news update and a thought for the day were shared, and the Principal addressed the
students. The assembly was attended by students of Classes 3 to 5.
The story of Br. Edmund Rice was shown and narrated in all classes through illustrated story visuals with
dialogues displayed on the screen. Class 5 students designed bookmarks inspired by his values. Class 4
students pasted pictures and wrote a few lines about his life, while Class 3 students took part in a
footprints activity reflecting on his inspiration. In Class 2, his values and teachings were discussed. The
children learned important values such as kindness, compassion, sharing, and helping the needy. Class 1
students made the school flag, and KG and Prep students enjoyed the story through visuals.
The school closed at 12:10 p.m. for all students as it was a half-day on the occasion of the Founder's Day.
After that, a prayer procession was held in the assembly hall with all authorities and teachers, promoting
unity and devotion. The day ended with a shared lunch, fostering togetherness and fellowship.
