High School
Learning outcomes:
Foster servant leadership by translating empathy into concrete community action; instil
accountability and initiative through planning small, sustainable school service projects.
Description:
The Interact Club — Rotary’s youthful vanguard — is the quintessence of service-led leadership,
where civic acumen meets the habit of helping.
Today, St. John’s formally installed its Office Bearers and Board of Directors in a ceremony that felt
equal parts covenant and curtain-raiser. Ms. Abha Joshi Sharma, eminent architect and President of
Rotary Club Chandigarh, lent gravitas and a perspicacious charge: “Leave footprints where it
matters most.” Surrounded by Rotarians, the Principal, and devoted coordinators, the students
received that charge with visible resolve.
Between measured rhetoric and warm applause, the Interactors pledged to translate empathy into
enterprise, ideas into neighbourhood action, and promise into steady practice. The occasion was
both culmination and commencement — a solemn mandate to catalyse change, not merely
celebrate intention. The Club departed from the dias with a simple, albeit ambitious rubric: be
useful, be brave, and let small acts — repeated, resolute, magnanimous — quietly remake the world.
