THEME: Br. Edmund Rice (Founder's Day)
CLASS & SECTION: Class 2B
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
The students will be able to:
a) understand the values and teachings of Br. Edmund Rice.
b) learn the importance of prayer, kindness, and helping others.
c) develop confidence through participation in the class assembly.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Class 2B boys presented a wonderful class assembly on Br. Edmund Rice – Founder’s Day on 7 May 2026.
The assembly began with a prayer seeking God’s blessings and guidance.This was followed by a short and
meaningful skit by the students, based on the teachings of Br. Edmund Rice. The skit was beautiful and
impressive and highlighted values such as kindness, love, sharing, and helping those in need.
Next, the students sang a beautiful hymn with actions, showing great devotion and enthusiasm. The four
touchstones were explained confidently and clearly, and an English poem on Br. Edmund Rice was recited
beautifully. The school choir then presented a lovely song on his life. This was followed by the Thought for
the Day, which gave a meaningful message for reflection.
The assembly concluded with a reflection on Br. Edmund Rice’s life, reminding us to be kind,
compassionate, and always ready to help others in need. All students performed with confidence and
excitement. They were neatly dressed and looked smart and presentable, wearing headgear, placards,
and sashes. Principal Ma'am appreciated their efforts and congratulated them on the successful assembly.
Overall, the assembly was meaningful and inspiring. Teachers and students enjoyed the presentation and
learned valuable lessons from the life and teachings of Br. Edmund Rice.
