Description: DATE: 10th October 2024 EVENT: Outreach Programme THEME/ TOPIC: Celebrating Festivals Together CLASS & SECTION: 10B LEARNING OUTCOMES: Students were able to share the happiness of the festivals of Dussehra and Deepawali. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: To reiterate the commitment of St. John's High School towards the ideal of Save the Girl Child, the students of Class 10 visited the Sarvani Pathshala in Panchkula. This visit was a part of the outreach program of the school. The students interacted with the students at Sarvani and engaged with them. The boys collaborated with the children at the Sarvani Pathshala to create some posters celebrating the upcoming festivals of Dussehra and Diwali. It was a great learning experience for the boys. It was an interesting coincidence that this institution is being run by a young girl, 26 years of age. To add to this it was quite interesting to note that Sarvani is one of the names of Goddess Durga. While returning the boys also shared some snacks with the children.
