Description:
Students at St. John’s High School, have always been proactive in community outreach programmes. Giving back to society has been their mantra for years.
The Interact Club along with the Social Justice Animators have spearheaded numerous initiatives to combat poverty, alleviate world hunger, and champion equality and sustainability. Through diverse projects, they've implemented tangible solutions, from fundraising campaigns to community outreach programmes. Whether it's organising food drives, advocating for policy change, or fostering inclusivity, these students exemplify a commitment to making a positive impact on global issues, embodying the school's ethos of compassion, empathy, and proactive change-making.
To celebrate The Edmund Rice Feast Day on May 5th, The Roti Bank Project was launched.
As the name suggests it aims at collecting Rotis from the students, for the marginalised, an attempt to spread happiness to the children and give back to society.
This project was launched in collaboration with the Samarpan Foundation Panchkula, which works for the underprivileged children providing them food and education.
