Description: DATE: 5th July 2025 EVENT: Eco Club Activity THEME/TOPIC: Van Mahotsav and CBSE initiative Ek ped maa ke naam CLASS & SECTION: Eco club students from Class 5 LEARNING OUTCOMES: • Students understood the environmental significance of planting trees. • They developed confidence and communication skills while spreading awareness about sustainable practices to parents. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: During the Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) held on 5th July 2025, the students of the Junior School Eco-Club at St. John’s High School led a meaningful awareness drive on the occasion of Van Mahotsav and in support of the CBSE initiative ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’. The young environmental ambassadors interacted with parents, highlighting the importance of planting trees, conserving nature, and the symbolic act of planting a tree in honour of one’s mother. Through placards, posters, and heartfelt conversations, the students conveyed powerful messages about sustainability, climate change, and the role of each individual in protecting the planet. The drive not only celebrated the spirit of Van Mahotsav but also encouraged families to pledge to plant at least one tree and nurture it with care. FACILITATED BY: Ms. Shonju Bali
