Description: DATE: 6TH MAY 2025 EVENT: Visit to T.S. Central State Library, Sector 17, Chandigarh PARTICIPANTS: 29 boys from Junior School, Class V VENUE: T.S. Central State Library, Sector 17, Chandigarh LEARNING OUTCOMES: • Enhanced Reading Interest: Exposure to a diverse collection of books sparked curiosity and a renewed interest in reading among the students. • Understanding Library Etiquette: Students learned the significance of maintaining discipline, silence, and respect for shared resources in a public space. • Knowledge of Library Resources: The visit educated students on how libraries function, the variety of resources available, and how to utilize them effectively. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: On 06.05.25, 29 enthusiastic students from Class V of our Junior School embarked on an educational excursion to the esteemed T.S. Central State Library located in Sector 17, Chandigarh. This visit aimed to in-still a love for reading and familiarize students with the resources available in a public library. The educational trip to T.S. Central State Library was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on the young minds. Such initiatives are instrumental in promoting reading habits and acquainting students with valuable public resources. We extend our gratitude to the library staff for their warm hospitality and to the school administration for organizing this enlightening.
