Description:
The ERI Youth Ambassadors from six different Edmund Rice schools gathered for the first-ever residential program at St. Columba's, New Delhi, from December 6-8. During this transformative experience, Br. Tino and Mr. Steve Rocha provided valuable insights into the workings of the Human Rights Council and the crucial role of Edmund Rice International (ERI) in advocating for social justice.
Each school had the opportunity to showcase their year-long efforts in social justice and advocacy, highlighting the impact of their initiatives. A visit to Gandhi Smriti deepened our understanding of humility and spirituality, inspiring us to carry forward his legacy in our own work.
A thought-provoking workshop on Child Rights, based on research, encouraged us to explore the complexities of this vital issue. In a lighter but equally meaningful session, PRATYeK students introduced us to the art of circus, teaching us fun tricks and fostering creativity. Throughout the program, every session was anchored by meditation, helping us reflect and center ourselves.
This gathering was a powerful reminder of the importance of collaboration, humility, and social responsibility in our shared mission for justice.
